Will outsourcing content actually save your marketing team time?

Will outsourcing content actually save your marketing team time?

Outsourcing only creates value if it removes work from your team. Here’s what we take responsibility for, what remains with you and where the time savings come

You are not just outsourcing the final draft

We prepare for the expert conversation, uncover and develop the angle, research the subject, write the article and manage revisions. Your team supplies the expertise, direction and formal approval.

The hidden problem with outsourcing

Marketing teams sometimes commission an external writer and discover that they still have to do most of the difficult work. They write a detailed brief, decide the argument, organise the expert’s contribution, explain the market, correct the draft and coordinate every amendment.

At that point, the supplier may have written the words, but Marketing has retained the project management and much of the thinking. It is reasonable to ask whether outsourcing has saved any time at all.

The Expert Insight Method™ is designed around a different division of work.

What we take responsibility for

  1. Preparation. We review the objective, audience, relevant source material and business context before speaking to your expert.
  2. Expert interview. We plan and conduct a focused 30-minute conversation, asking the follow-up questions needed to uncover crucial experience, insight and examples.
  3. Angle development. We identify the strongest material and turn it into a clear, relevant argument rather than expecting Marketing to supply a fully formed article idea.
  4. Research and writing. We undertake supporting research, structure the piece and write it in your organisation’s tone of voice.
  5. Revisions. We respond to stakeholder feedback and include three rounds of amendments.

What remains with your team

Your team retains the decisions and approvals that should remain internal:

  • Confirm the intended audience and business objective
  • Provide essential proprietary or product information
  • Make the appropriate subject-matter expert available
  • Review the draft for technical accuracy and brand fit
  • Obtain formal Legal or Compliance approval

We don’t claim to remove every internal task. But we guarantee to reduce the production burden and give the work a clear external owner.

How much internal time is usually required?

For a typical Pilot article, the expert begins with one focused 30-minute interview and later reviews the draft for accuracy. Marketing coordinates the initial objective and consolidates feedback. Compliance or Legal completes the organisation’s normal formal review.

The exact requirement depends on the complexity of the subject and the number of stakeholders involved. However, your team should not need to write the article, build the structure, turn an AI draft into publishable content or repeatedly chase an unfinished internal document

Where the time saving really comes from

The largest saving isn’t typing time. It comes from transferring the preparation, interviewing, editorial judgement, drafting and revision work to a senior specialist who is responsible for moving the piece forward.

That also reduces the stop-start pattern common to internal content. When an article competes with campaign deadlines, product launches and daily requests, it can remain half-finished for weeks. An agreed process and delivery date create momentum as well as capacity.

We work alongside your existing team

Our service isn’t intended to replace a capable marketing or content team. It gives that team specialist capacity when internal experts are busy, the subject is complex or the existing workload makes consistent production difficult.

You retain control of the strategy, brand and final approval. We take responsibility for turning the expertise into a finished asset.

One interview can support more than one asset

A well-run expert conversation often uncovers themes and examples that can support LinkedIn posts, emails, campaign content, sales material and future articles. This helps the business obtain more value from the time its specialist has already invested.

Put our process alongside yours

Start with one Pilot article for £600+VAT. No long-term contract and no minimum commitment going forward. You’ll receive a complete article and a practical way to compare the time, process and result with your current approach.

Frequently asked questions

How much time will you need from our subject-matter expert?

Usually, we begin with one focused 30-minute interview. The expert will then need to review the draft for technical accuracy, but they will not be expected to write or structure the piece.

How quickly will we receive the article?

Pilot articles are usually delivered within 5 to 10 working days of the expert interview. Longer or more complex pieces may take more time.

Will it sound like AI-generated content?

No. The article begins with your organisation’s own expertise and is developed by a senior writer who understands financial services, your audience and the purpose of the piece.

Will it pass Compliance?

Your organisation retains responsibility for formal approval. We write with regulatory scrutiny in mind, helping reduce avoidable claims, ambiguity and friction during review.

What if we decide to continue after the Pilot?

We can develop a regular thought-leadership programme, support wider content requirements or use further expert interviews to build a consistent pipeline of marketing assets.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to do it with AI?

The honest answer is, yes, sometimes, but only if you’ve already done a lot of groundwork and secured the time of the relevant experts. AI can produce a draft quickly. But that’s only one part of the internal production process. See what an article may really cost your team. Compare the costs.
