Choosing a content partner shouldn’t be a leap of faith
A proposal can tell you about a writer’s experience and process. It can’t prove that they’ll grasp a complex subject, ask the right questions or produce work that sounds like your organisation.
The Expert Insight Pilot gives you a practical way to find out. You brief us on one piece of content, work directly with a senior financial-services writer and receive a finished piece you can use. You can then judge the quality of the thinking, writing and service before deciding whether to go any further.
How it works
For 20 years, we’ve been using our Expert Insight Method™ to support knowledge-rich, expertise-led financial services organisations. The Expert Insight Pilot makes it simple to test us out. Here’s how it works:
The Expert Insight Pilot
1. Quick briefing call
We discuss your goals, audience and potential topics.
2. Expert interview / research
We speak to your subject matter expert (usually around 30 minutes) or undertake research, as required.
3. Writing and refinement
We develop the article / site page / case study (etc.) and refine it based on your feedback. Three rounds of amends are included.
4. Delivery
You receive a finished piece within 5–10 days, ready to review.
5. Decide
Continue or walk away. No pressure. No commitment.
Cost
We charge a fixed fee of £600+VAT for one piece of up to 1,000 words. No extras.
What you’ll receive for £600+VAT
This isn’t a sample paragraph or a watered-down trial. It’s a complete piece of original content, produced using the same senior writers and process we bring to larger projects.
One article, site page or case study of up to 1,000 words
Topic and angle development where required
A subject-matter expert interview or agreed supporting research
A senior financial-services writer matched to the brief
Three rounds of amendments
Copy developed with regulatory scrutiny in mind
Alex Genn’s oversight throughout
Delivery within 5–10 working days
If you need a longer or substantially different asset, such as a white paper or research-led report, we’ll agree the scope and price with you before starting.
Financial-services experience from the outset
We’ve worked with financial-services organisations for more than 20 years, across banking, payments, insurance, wealth and asset management, lending and fintech.
You’ll work directly with one of our 25 senior writers, each with at least 15 years’ experience. We match the writer to your subject and content requirement, while Alex remains involved and oversees the work. There are no junior writers learning about your sector on your brief and no unnecessary account-management layers.

One piece. One fixed fee. Then you decide.
There’s no contract, retainer or obligation to commission anything else. If the Pilot shows that we’re a good fit, we can provide occasional support or help you build a more consistent pipeline of articles, case studies, website content and other marketing assets.
If you decide not to continue, that’s fine too. You’ll still have a complete piece of content to use, and there’s nothing further to pay.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The £600+VAT Pilot covers one complete article (or other piece, such as a web page or case study) of up to 1,000 words. It includes the subject-matter expert interview, angle development, supporting research, writing and three rounds of amendments.
The Pilot is not a sample paragraph or a reduced-quality trial. It is intended to show you the actual process and standard of work before you consider a longer relationship. There is no contract and no obligation to commission anything else.
Longer or substantially different assets, such as white papers and research-led reports, require a separate quotation. We will agree any change in scope before beginning the work.
We’ll need a short briefing conversation with marketing and, in most cases, around 30 minutes with a subject-matter expert. Your team will then review the draft for technical accuracy, brand fit and formal approval.
purpose. The result should contain real experience, useful examples and a recognisable point of view, rather than information that could have been assembled from the same public sources as every competitor.
The £600 Pilot gives you a practical way to compare the finished article with your existing output before making a larger commitment.
We usually deliver the first complete piece within 5–10 working days of the interview or completed brief. We’ll confirm the schedule before starting.
Yes. The fixed fee can cover an article, site page or case study of up to 1,000 words. Longer or more complex assets will require a separate quotation.
They don’t need to be. Our writers prepare the questions, guide the discussion and ask follow-ups when an answer needs an example, explanation or evidence.
Experts often assume too much knowledge, use technical shorthand or overlook what is most interesting about their own experience. A senior interviewer recognises where to slow down, probe further or approach the subject from another direction. Even a cautious or concise expert can provide valuable material when the conversation is properly prepared and managed.
Your expert’s job is simply to share what they know. It’s our job to find the most pertinent material and turn it into content.
Your organisation remains responsible for formal Legal and Compliance approval, so no external writer can promise automatic sign-off. We write with regulatory scrutiny in mind and respond carefully to reviewer feedback.
That is entirely your decision. You can stop after the Pilot and retain a complete, usable article with no further commitment.
If the process works well, we can provide occasional support, develop a regular thought-leadership programme or use further expert interviews to create a consistent pipeline of articles and related marketing assets. The relationship can be shaped around your team’s capacity and priorities rather than forcing you into a fixed package.
The Pilot is designed to answer the most important question first: can we understand your organisation and produce genuinely useful work?
